Hey there! I’m Heather, nice to meet you (again). If you truly know me, you’ll know that I have always loved fashion. I was the teenage girl that color coordinated the scrunchie in my hair to the laces in my sneakers and had the handbag and wallet to match. When I met my soulmate, Christopher, it was no surprise that we were a match made in heaven, love, and fashion. We then went on to have two fashionable babies.

After having those beautiful babies, things began to change for me. My body changed, my priorities changed and my desire to be the fashionista I once was took a back seat to everything else in my life.

This didn’t last long though. I found myself again and was ready to paint my lips and the town red. Well, the town had other ideas—trying to find something trendy and cute to fit my postpartum body was a complete let down. So, I went back to my corner and settled for wearing bedsheets with pockets, extra flowy floral shirts, and ill-fitting pants.

Fast forward to 2022, I had an epiphany. Why should I continue to settle for being unfashionable? Being a plus size woman does not equate to being old and frumpy. So, I decided to open an online boutique that curated wardrobe staples and accessories for women like me. I wanted to create a place where women with curves that love fashion but have a hard time finding trendy, stunning pieces to fill our closet could learn to love fashion again.

So, I did and Aly + Lia was born.
